Minister: Saudi Arabia can increase oil production

If the price of gas first started to rise because there was a shortage and the gasoline kings wanted us to use less. Well now that the Saudi es have agreed to produce more oil which means there will not be a shortage why is the price of gas still on the increase? They say it is due to speculators. I'm glade these folks don't work in the fast food industry. Could you imagine never knowing what you would pay for your Big Mac 2 days down the road? If oil companies are paying so much more for oil how do they explain such large profits? I'm not an oil person, but I do know that if your profit margin is 40 % and your having to pay more money for the product than your profit should still be 40%, not billions. The only way you make more money for a product sold is when you raise the price and your cost stays about the same. As far as the Billions in profit, the government should tax that extra profit and use the money to subsidise the cost of gasoline for the consumer. With people having such a hard time making ends meet, how could any one get up and brag that they received a $40,000,000.00 bonus. The terrorists said that they would win the battle with fiscal damage but with economical terrorism.

What happened to a Government for the people by the people. We hear all this talk about a rescission. But what do we do about it? In history the USA always prospered during times of war but we cant seem to get a head this time. You know why? We no longer produce or make anything in this country any more, and if we do we have to pay so much for it that it become ridicule's. We buy the equipment for our Armed Forces from our past and present enemies. I spent 2 years in Nam and I refuse to wear a shirt or a pair of pants made by them. Not after seeing what I saw while I was there.

Well anyways our government. When was the last time that George or Hillary or Barrack or John sat down with tier spouses and all their bills and had to decide which ones to pay now and which ones to leave to later hoping that they wont have the phone or the gas shut off before they get paid just to buy enough food to feed their families or to get a pair of shoes for their child. If they ever had it's been a long time. I feel we need to take care of OURS before we take care of the rest of the world. Lets feed our starving children here in the good old USA. Lets build a school for the poor girls here.

While I was growing up I was aways told take care for yours and let them take care of theirs. In West Virginia they pasted a law that it was OK to stop and pick up ROAD KILL to feed your family because so many families had no money for food and we want to send money to Africa for feminine Hygiene products.

Recently it was said by the Saudi's that if there customers required a larger production of oil that they would comply. It is somewhat obvious that one of us is wearing blinders. Put the carrot in front of the mule. As their largest customer, and may I remind you, that President Bush had previously asked for increased production, we received a smirk as a expression from them. Presently the highest price being paid at the pumps is for diesel fuel, which affects us all, for delivery of most all our consumer products Then let us look to our southern neighbors. Presently in Mexico the cost of Diesel fuel is at an all time high of approx. $2.00 a gallon. An investment by our government would seem to benefit us all. Since when did become necessary for us to provide financial comforts for those that reside in the middle east? It has been explained to us that the vast amounts of oil that exist is a tolerable explanation. Ask yourself how much of our tax dollars are being invested in exploring alternative fuels, and why this is lagging in any type of results? Keep in mind the response that we received about the national oil reserve and our governments reply. Also for our consideration is the Alaska pipeline located in Valdez Alaska. Constructed in 1977 by ARCO a private concern,over 19,625 tankers have been loaded for profit to foreign concerns. There are 18 storage tanks with a capacity of 9.1 million barrels. So what type of questions does this dilemma pose? What is the solution? Or, just maybe, what questions should we be asking the two potential people that want to lead our nation in the near future. Just how thick and encompassing are the blinders tat we wear?
